McDonagh's has been serving the best fish and chips for decades and is both a takeaway and sit down restaurant and bistro. Specializes in seafood including soups and serves many different varieties and dishes
KC Blakes, is a contemporary restaurant housed in a very old building and serves a mix of traditional Irish and global cuisine including some oriental dishes. High quality food with reasonable prices.
Oscars Bistro, just a few minutes from the Spanish Arch bases its menu on the availability of fresh local produce. Fresh fish and vegetables and traceable local meat are the ingredients which go into the restaurants imaginative dishes.
The Malt House Restaurant, is a busy restaurant serving a la carte and specials. Mussels, organic vegetables home made chips and fresh salads are among the fare on offer. The have an extensive list of good quality wines.
Da Roberta, offers many Italian dishes such as prosciutto and pizza in this child friendly establishment. Osteria da Roberta nearby, has a more extensive menu of Italian dishes served in a more formal setting.
Da Tang Noodle House is Galway's best known Chinese Restaurant. It serves a variety of noodle, dumpling, stir-fry and rice dishes with chicken, beef, prawns, pork and roast duck and is reasonably priced for sit down or takeaway.
